Mathseeds uses a mix of extrinsic and intrinsic motivators, including:

• Certificates: awarded once students/pupils have attained a certain number of points.
• Interactive activities are designed to engage students from the moment they enter the program.
• Students/Pupils earn points (golden acorns) as they progress through the lessons and activities.  They can use these to purchase items in the Mathseeds shop to add to their Treehouse.
• Visible progress tracking: students/pupils can see their development as they advance through Mathseeds, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
• Students/Pupils can also unlock additional educational games.
